Special Note:

Join us if you can, for a very special ceremony known as Wreaths Across America, at the Lafayette Cemetery – just next door to the Lafayette Park Hotel. This event is an annual event held across America, sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Wreaths will be laid on the more than 200 graves of our fellow Veterans.

A Very Special Lunch

As noted in our August newsletter , we will be hosting our 4 outstanding Boys/Girls State 2023 delegates for dinner, together with their parents.  We switch from a lunch meeting to dinner for this event so that our wonderful high school delegates can join us. Please make every attempt to join us as this program is a signature event of your Post and these 4 young people are terrific and deserve to be recognized.

A Welcome to Spring Luncheon

Special Note:

Due to the increasing cost of our lunch, the cost of the monthly mailing and this year’s cost of supporting both Boys and Girls State, our financial cushion is almost depleted.  Add to the cost increases is the fact that your Post only receives $6.50 from the State for the dues you pay.

If you can afford to make a contribution of any amount it will be vital to our survival.  Checks can be sent to Post 517, PO Box 324, Lafayette, CA 94549, or hand delivered at our next lunch.
